We want your experience with WitnessTrips to be clear, comfortable, and meaningful. Below are answers to the most common questions we receive. If you don’t see your question here, feel free to reach out.

General Questions

What is WitnessTrips?

WitnessTrips creates faith-centered travel experiences designed to connect people, cultures, and meaningful moments around the world. We offer group trips, private tours, Hawaii experiences, and virtual travel opportunities.

Who are these trips for?

Our trips are designed for individuals, couples, friends, and small groups who enjoy purposeful travel, community, and cultural exploration. You do not need to be an experienced traveler to join.

Can I join a trip solo?

Yes. Many travelers join solo and connect with others during the trip. You are welcome whether you come alone or with friends.

Booking & Payments

How do I reserve my spot?

To reserve your spot, a non-refundable and non-transferable deposit of $800 per person is required at the time of booking. Your reservation is confirmed once the deposit is received.

What payment options are available?

We offer both pay-in-full and flexible payment plans for most trips.

Is there a discount for paying in full?

Yes. Guests who choose to pay in full at the time of booking receive a 10% discount on the trip price. This option is ideal for travelers who prefer to complete their payment upfront and save.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Payment plans are available and flexible.

  • Installment schedules may vary depending on the trip and booking date
  • Payments must be made on time according to your invoice
  • The total balance must be paid in full by the final payment deadline listed on your invoice

As long as the full balance is paid by the deadline, your reservation remains secure.

What happens if a payment is late?

Missed or late payments may result in cancellation and forfeiture of your deposit. Please contact us as soon as possible if you anticipate a payment issue.

Cancellations & Refunds

What if I need to cancel my trip?

All cancellations must be submitted through the official cancellation form. Cancellation penalties depend on how close the cancellation is to the departure date.

Please review our Travel Policies page for full details.

Are deposits refundable?

No. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Can I transfer my reservation to someone else?

No. Reservations are non-transferable.

Travel Insurance

Is travel insurance required?

Yes. Travel insurance is required for all international group trips, and proof of coverage must be provided prior to departure.

Travel insurance is strongly recommended for domestic trips.

Is travel insurance included in the trip price?

No. Travel insurance is not included and must be purchased separately.

Flights & Transportation

Are flights included?

Flights are not included unless explicitly stated. Travelers are responsible for booking their own flights and arriving on time.

What if my flight is delayed or canceled?

WitnessTrips is not responsible for missed portions of a trip due to flight delays or cancellations. Tours begin as scheduled, and travelers are responsible for catching up with the group if delayed.

Accommodations & Itineraries

What type of accommodations are provided?

Accommodations are typically shared rooms (Double, Triple, or Quad occupancy) with private bathrooms. Single occupancy may be available at an additional cost.

What happens if my roommate cancels?

If a roommate cancels and a replacement cannot be found, the remaining traveler is responsible for any applicable single-occupancy upgrade.

Are meals included?

Meals are included only when specifically listed on the itinerary.

Can the itinerary change?

Yes. The order of itinerary days may change due to logistics, weather, or local conditions. These adjustments are made to ensure the best experience possible.

Can you customize the itinerary for me?

Group itineraries cannot be modified to accommodate individual requests. Private or custom trips may allow for more flexibility.

Health & Responsibility

Do I need to be in good physical health?

Yes. By booking a trip, you confirm that you are in good physical and emotional health and able to participate in group travel activities.

What about medical care while traveling?

Medical care and medications may not be readily available in all destinations. Travelers are responsible for carrying necessary medications and equipment.
